Description
We seek an experienced and talented Senior Director of Technical Operations to lead our technical marketing operations team. The Senior Director of Technical Operations will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Marketing technical infrastructure, including our hardware, software, and network systems. This includes areas such as web development, email automation, vendor relationships, and content management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex technical operations, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation in a dynamic environment.
Leadership:

Provide leadership and direction to the technical operations and marketing email automation teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

Establish performance standards and goals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Support professional development by identifying skill development opportunities and promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
Web Development:

Provide strategic direction for website development initiatives, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives, user experience best practices, and technical feasibility.

Maintain and optimize existing digital assets, such as Heartland.us and GlobalPayments Integrated, ensuring best-in-class support, reliability, security, and adherence to industry best practices.

Lead the assessment and integration of digital properties from ongoing acquisitions, making recommendations for ongoing support or consolidation efforts and overseeing the agreed upon direction through to completion.
Email Automation:

Manage the marketing automation team, ensuring optimization within tools like Pardot and effective integration with other platforms for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion.
Vendor Management:

Manage vendor relationships (Ex: Pardot, Drift, Segment, Unbounce, Sitecore, Cloudflare, etc.) and oversee the tech stack, identifying opportunities to consolidate where duplicity exists, oversee new implementations and ensure maximum leverage of tools by the business.

Identify and evaluate software tools and technologies that enhance operational efficiency and support the organization's technical infrastructure needs.

Oversee the management and licensing of software tools, ensuring compliance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
Technical Operations:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of our technical infrastructure.

Manage the deployment and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring they meet performance, security, and availability requirements.

Implement robust security measures, including access controls, encryption, vulnerability assessments, and incident response controls.

Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for the technical operations department.
Content Management:

Develop and implement strategies for efficient content management across various platforms, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Collaborate with content creators and stakeholders to define content workflows.

Evaluate and implement content management systems that align with the business needs and support seamless content publishing, editing and version control.
Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and make informed decisions regarding tool selection, implementation, and integration.

Collaborate with other departments, including product marketing, content, revenue generation, and channel, to align technical operations with business goals.
Industry Trends and Improvement:

Stay current with industry trends and best practices, proactively identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in technical operations, with a proven track record of managing complex technical infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Deep technical expertise in hardware, software, and network systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS, Sitecore, and Cloudflare.
• Experience developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
