MineralTree’s U.S. headquarters is located in Boston, MA. Our Principal Software Engineer can be based remotely, ideally on the East Coast.
Our Tech Lead / Principal Software Engineer - Integrations and Platform Services, at MineralTree will be passionate about technology and an excellent problem solver across the stack while possessing people skills for coaching, mentoring, and leading a scrum team. This role will challenge our Tech Lead / Principal Software Engineer to understand existing solutions and implement features in the modern cloud native way – fully leveraging containers, microservices and CI/CD pipeline while keeping an eye on scalability, reliability, and performance. It will involve researching, discovering, building PoCs and partnering with other principals and architects to ensure optimal solution design and implementation is achieved. Responsibilities:

Develop robust, performant, scalable microservices keeping in mind best practices such as bounded context, domain driven design, etc.

Guide technical teams in making thoughtful design decisions

Enrich capabilities of the CI/CD pipeline (Gitlab/Jenkins)

Mentor and elevate junior team members
Qualifications:
-
8+ years JAVA-based enterprise development experience
-
3+ years cloud and microservices experience – EKS or native Kubernetes experience is required

Experience successfully leveraging Akka and other reactive technologies is a strong plus

Experience building solutions at scale at AWS is a must

Strong experience developing multi-tenant, Cloud-based, SaaS solutions

Demonstrable success transforming legacy applications into cloud native, microservice driven solutions

Proven success working within an Agile Scrum team

Proven track record working in a fast-paced startup environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Value Add:

Experience using GraphQL

Well versed in cloud security, particularly as it relates to SaaS deployments

Familiarity and comfort w/ Spring and JSF will be beneficial

Payments experience in a FinTech company is a very strong plus
