Summary of This Role

The Junior Accountant completes routine accounting tasks and provides administrative support to the department.  Duties involve processing, compiling, reconciling and maintaining financial data.

What Part Will You Play?

  • The Junior Accountant will perform both accounting and administrative tasks in accordance with the established guidelines and procedures.  Essential responsibilities include the following.    Other duties may be assigned.

  • General clerical duties such as data entry, filing, proofing, scanning, copying, arranging meetings and department events

  • Maintain department file records (computer and back up paper copy)

  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations

  • Prepare journal entries per instructions

  • Prepare daily/monthly balance sheet schedules and calendar

  • Compile daily/monthly reports as requested

  • Assist in researching and investigating issues as directed

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related Business field

  • Minimum of one year of accounting experience

  • Understanding of basic financial statements and accounting principals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Must have good organizational skills, analytical skills, interpersonal communication skills (written and oral) and be detail oriented

  • Able to maintain sensitive and confidential information

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in team driven environment yet be able to work independently to complete daily expectations

  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

  • Must be flexible, customer focused and an agent of change

  • Possess a positive attitude
