We are excited to announce an additional position is now available for a Software Engineer/ Automation Engineer Senior to join our Quality Assurance & Technical Services Software Development team in Nicosia.
You will be responsible for hands-on coding, debugging, maintaining, supporting, implementing and validating Test Automation Framework applications used for functional and non-functional (performance, resiliency) testing of cloud-based and on-prem systems whilst collaborating and communicating with appropriate parties. You will further maintain and utilize application and programming documents in the development of code, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards. In addition to the Testing Frameworks, you may also be responsible for supporting and enhancing other internally developed software in value-added areas such as Operations Automation and Reconciliation Automation.
Essential requirements for the role:
4+ year in application development role
Java/C#, Python, VB.Net
Working knowledge in database SQL querying
Good general knowledge of technology.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of web services implementation concepts using the Java Spring Boot Framework (highly advantageous)
Knowledge of REST API’s, React, Swagger and Open API Standards
Knowledge of DevOps tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc
Basic understanding of cloud computing (preferably AWS)
Apache Airflow, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk
Previous experience in building and supporting Testing Frameworks
Knowledge of Cloud technology (e.g., AWS).
The successful candidate should also have the following experience and skills:
Educated to degree level (e.g., BSc, MSc, MCA, BCA, B Tech) in an IT related subject such as Computer Science or MIS
Good communication skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English language, both verbally and in writing, and to interact with both Business and IT partners to define, understand and evaluate business requirements and resolve production issues
Ability to work competently, accurately, and professionally in a changeable & time critical environment and ultimately meet deadlines
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to gather and analyze information and draw logical conclusions while identifying the root cause of problems and providing options for resolution. Detail oriented individual. Easily motivated with a solid work ethic
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide technical support on system and related technology issues
Flexibility to work as part of a rotational 24 hour on-call program
Actively contribute with ideas and suggestions to improve both technical knowledge base and organizational processes.
