Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure that supports multiple Global Payments platforms.
Perform system administration and troubleshooting for Linux and Windows environments.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
Carry out patching, lifecycle management, and routine maintenance tasks.
Execute changes, upgrades, and deployments with a focus on stability and compliance.
Collaborate with Platform Engineering to test and adopt new technologies.
Follow operational processes (Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Management).
Participate in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, operational handovers and process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Linux system administration (Windows exposure a plus).
Practical experience supporting infrastructure in production environments (GCP/AWS/Azure)
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with patching, lifecycle management, and monitoring.
Preferred Skills & Technologies
Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Cloud platforms: GCP, Azure, AWS.
Containers: Kubernetes, Docker.
CI/CD exposure: Git, Jenkins.
Experience working in regulated or PCI-compliant environments.
Understanding of ITIL processes and service management.
