Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Engineer III, you will develop and execute API, UI, and automated tests and help ensure a high-quality experience for an internal, centralized API used to connect point-of-sale systems. Being able to quickly orientate testing yourself based on exploratory testing and becoming a subject matter expert (SME) for the services within our purview, collaborating with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and improve reliability.

What will you be doing?

  • Work in an Agile (Scrum) environment.

  • Understand, execute, and maintain test cases across core products and platforms.

  • Drive quality for product features by assessing risk and ensuring high-quality releases.

  • Prioritize defects/issues and follow through on resolution.

  • Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and develop playbooks for future support.

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents and provide timely, meaningful feedback.

  • Develop and execute test plans and support user acceptance testing (UAT) across multiple applications and platforms.

  • Participate in reviews, freely giving and receiving constructive feedback.

  • Attend (and as needed, lead) Scrum meetings.

  • Become a subject matter expert for support, solving problems and helping internal teams with technical and process-related issues.

  • Manage internal support requests—answering questions and resolving issues related to users, integrations, and data.

  • Working knowledge of AI workflows and use cases

What are the requirements?

  • Associate degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Web Systems, or a related field—or equivalent QA experience.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working as a QA Engineer (or similar QA role).

  • Solid understanding of system, acceptance, regression, and integration testing, as well as quality processes, standards, and procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of testing methods (e.g., black-box testing, integration testing).

  • Knowledge of Postman, Cypress, and other automated testing tools

  • Knowledge of Context Driven Testing/Rapid Software Testing

  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services

  • Ability to communicate at an intermediate level in English.

  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to translate test scenarios into detailed, repeatable test steps (including test data requirements).

  • Ability to change priorities quickly and the capacity to handle multiple tasks.

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on moderately complex projects
