What you’ll own
- SDK Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance Android SDKs used by external developers and global enterprise partners.
- Modular Component Engineering: Build robust, reusable, and modular mobile components with clear documentation to facilitate seamless integration workflows
- Device & API Integration: Integrate mobile software layers with backend RESTful APIs, automation testing frameworks, hardware payment devices, and core platform services.
- Performance Optimization: Deeply optimize application performance, memory allocation, and battery consumption while troubleshooting complex issues related to Android OS device fragmentation
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Contribute directly to modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), automation suites, and stable release versioning processes.
- Technical Mentorship & Standards: Conduct rigorous code reviews, enforce strict coding standards, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
What you’ll bring
- Core Mobile Experience: 5 to 9 years of hands-on, professional Android development experience with a strong analytical focus.
- Dual-Language Proficiency: Strong, high-level programming proficiency in both Kotlin and Java.
- Android Ecosystem Mastery: Deep understanding of Android frameworks, Jetpack components, core lifecycles, and modern architectures (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).
- Advanced Asynchronous & DI Concepts: Solid production experience handling multithreading (Coroutines, RxJava), Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger), and networking layers (Retrofit/OkHttp).
- Diagnostic & Testing Fluency: Strong debugging skills using Android Studio tools, ADB, and performance profilers, combined with experience in unit and instrumentation testing.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication and technical writing skills to collaborate effectively across product managers, architects, and QA teams.
It’s a bonus if you have
- Hardware & Domain Expertise: Prior experience handling point-of-sale (POS) API integrations or physical payment hardware device connections.
- Automation Engineering: Hands-on experience configuring advanced automation build scripts using the Gradle build system.
