Change Leader GPE

Job Summary

The Change Management function within the Europe & AP business is responsible for turning strategy into lasting impact, ensuring that major transformation initiatives are successfully delivered, embedded, and sustained across the organisation.

The GPE Change Leader will play a critical role in delivering a multi-year transformation programme, partnering closely with the Business Head of GPE as it transforms into a shared service centre for the European business at Global Payments. This transformation spans new product launches, go-to-market evolution, and the development of an end-to-end operating model.

This role will orchestrate cross-functional delivery, leveraging central capabilities across Product, Technology, Operations, and Sales to ensure change is executed effectively, adopted at pace, and delivers tangible business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transformation Programme Leadership

Define and shape the overall transformation strategy, including programme structure, phases, milestones, and deliverables

Translate strategic priorities into clear, executable plans with measurable outcomes

Ensure alignment between global strategy and local market needs

2. Business Case & Value Realisation

Lead development of robust business cases, including financials (revenue, cost, operating income) and strategic KPIs

Track and drive benefits realisation, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable commercial and operational impact

3. Governance & Executive Engagement

Establish and run effective governance structures to support decision-making and oversight

Deliver high-quality executive reporting, providing clear insights on progress, risks, and performance

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on transformation progress and course correction

4. Change Adoption & Implementation

Ensure new ways of working, products, and operating models are successfully embedded and adopted

Drive stakeholder engagement, communication, and alignment across all levels of the organisation

Monitor adoption metrics and intervene proactively to address gaps

5. Cross-Functional Leadership

Mobilise and align cross-functional teams (Product, Tech, Operations, Sales, etc.) to deliver programme outcomes

Ensure the GPE business receives the right level of support and prioritisation from global functions

Build strong relationships to influence without direct authority

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in strategy, transformation, business management, or programme leadership roles

  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional change programmes

  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, with experience building business cases and tracking performance

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including senior leadership engagement

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in payments, fintech, or financial services

  • Exposure to multi-market or regional transformation programmes

  • Experience supporting executive-level business reviews and governance forums

  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and performance management

Success Measures (First 12–24 Months)

Successful delivery of key milestones within the GPE transformation roadmap

Demonstrable adoption of new products, processes, and operating models

Achievement of committed financial and operational KPIs

Positive executive stakeholder feedback and engagement

Strong cross-functional alignment and effective programme governance
