Software Engineer

What you’ll own

• Develop, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement, and validate applications throughout the software development lifecycle using a variety of languages and architectures

• Analyze existing applications and formulate logic for new applications, including procedures, flowcharting, coding, debugging, and maintaining application and programming documentation

• Design, create, and deliver program specifications while developing basic to moderately complex front-end and back-end code across multiple platforms and aligning application and database interactions

• Perform unit testing, validation, and corrective measures for moderately complex code changes, while identifying deficiencies and escalating alternative proposals to improve application performance and reliability

• Collaborate with business, technology teams, clients, and partners to determine solution approaches and support the design, development, and enforcement of application standards including compliance requirements

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field

• Minimum 4 years professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data

• Advanced knowledge and use of one or more front-end or back-end programming languages/technologies and moderate understanding of the corresponding paired technologies

• Experience working with modern programming languages, APIs, external services, and both relational and NoSQL databases

• Ability to perform coding, testing, debugging, and documentation while supporting application standards, procedures, and compliance requirements

It’s a bonus if you have

• 6+ years professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data and experience with IBM Rational Tools

• Experience working across multiple operating systems, development tools, and modern web frameworks
