Software QA Engineer, Senior

In this role, you will drive quality engineering practices across the software development lifecycle, leveraging automation, continuous testing, and modern DevOps methodologies to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure payment solutions.

What you’ll own

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks, test suites, and CI/CD-integrated testing solutions to ensure continuous software quality.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC to implement Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), and shift-left testing practices.
• Execute and enhance unit, component, API, integration, performance, load, security, and service virtualization testing to improve application reliability and scalability.
• Analyze code quality, test coverage, system performance, and regression impacts, providing recommendations that improve maintainability and reduce production defects.
• Lead testing activities for complex projects, coordinate test execution priorities, and serve as a key point of contact for quality engineering initiatives.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 6+ years of professional experience in software testing, quality engineering, automation development, and software delivery environments.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD tools, API testing, performance testing, and test environment management.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C#, Groovy, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, TDD, and BDD, with experience working in modern DevOps environments.
• Proven ability to analyze complex systems, identify quality risks, and implement scalable testing strategies across multiple applications and platforms.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise-level automated testing strategies across diverse environments and frameworks.
• Experience with service virtualization, security testing, cloud-based testing platforms, and payment technology systems.
• Leadership experience coordinating test teams or mentoring engineers in quality engineering best practices.
