In this role, you will drive financial excellence across a global organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of critical financial reporting that supports business decisions, regulatory requirements, and sustainable growth. You’ll lead a talented team, influence key accounting and transformation initiatives, and partner with stakeholders across Finance, Tax, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Operations to strengthen our global financial foundation. Your work will directly support Global Payments’ mission by enabling trusted, scalable, and innovative financial operations that power commerce around the world.
What you'll own:
Drive financial reporting excellence by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant month-end and quarter-end close outcomes that support decision-making and strengthen business performance.
Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, creating an environment that empowers colleagues to grow, deliver exceptional results, and contribute to organizational success.
Strengthen compliance and control frameworks that protect the business, enhance audit readiness, and ensure adherence to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local regulatory requirements.
Influence process transformation and innovation by identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, improve reporting quality, and leverage automation to drive greater efficiency and scalability.
Partner across global functions and markets to support expansion, integration, and strategic initiatives while delivering accounting solutions that create long-term business value.
What you'll bring:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from a reputable college or university.
Proven success with 8+ years of combined accounting and audit experience, delivering accurate financial reporting and strong compliance outcomes.
Demonstrated leadership experience with at least 4 years in a supervisory or people management role, including coaching, performance development, and team leadership.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial management capabilities with the ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use data and insights to drive informed business decisions.
It's a bonus if you have:
Experience supporting multinational organizations or international legal entities across multiple jurisdictions.
Exposure to accounting transformation, process improvement, automation, or digital finance initiatives.
A collaborative mindset and proven success working within cross-functional and global teams to achieve shared objectives.
