Team Lead, Settlement Accounting

We’re looking for a Team Lead, Settlement Accounting to join our ever-evolving Settlement Accounting Team and help shape the future of global commerce. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, managing financial risk, and driving process improvements that support seamless payment operations worldwide. Your leadership and expertise will help strengthen controls, enhance efficiency, and contribute to the continued growth and success of Global Payments. This role follows a 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM Philippine Time schedule, providing the opportunity to collaborate with global stakeholders and support critical business operations across international markets.

What you'll own

• Lead accurate and timely financial reporting across settlement portfolios, ensuring compliance, control effectiveness, and financial integrity.
• Drive resolution of complex reconciliation and financial risk issues, delivering sustainable solutions that support business success.
• Develop and empower a high-performing accounting team, fostering accountability, growth, and operational excellence.
• Champion automation and process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy.
• Partner with key stakeholders across the business to influence decisions, strengthen controls, and support strategic objectives.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Accounting
• 4+ years of accounting experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, audit, or related functions.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience managing accounting or finance professionals.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial controls, and reporting standards.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex financial issues and competing priorities.

It's a bonus if you have

• Experience in settlement accounting, payments, banking, or fintech environments.
• Experience with Oracle or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and reconciliation tools.
• Exposure to automation, process improvement, or system implementation projects.
