What you’ll own

• Takes ownership of assigned testing activities from requirement review through test design, execution, defect triage, retesting, and closure.
  Creates, maintains, and executes manual test cases for ServiceNow stories, integrations, upgrades, and releases.
• Performs functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, usability, role-based access, and UAT support testing.
• Validates ServiceNow functionality across forms, workflows, approvals, notifications, portals, workspaces, roles, integration, and data.
• Reviews requirements, acceptance criteria, and process documentation to identify test scenarios, gaps, risks, dependencies, and testability concerns.
• Performs initial triage of defects and issues to help isolate the root cause and provide actionable details to the developer.
• Retest resolved defects and validate the fixes meet requirements without introducing regression.
• Develops, maintains, and executes ServiceNow ATF tests where applicable, including scripted steps, custom step configurations, test data setup, and reusable automation components..
• Maintains test assets, including manual and automated tests and related scripts.
• Supports sprint testing, release validation, upgrade testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT activities.
• Promptly communicates testing status, blockers, risks, quality concerns, and triage findings.
• Partners closely with developers, product owners, and the QA team to support successful delivery.
• Follows QA governance, test management standards, automation standards, documentation practices, and ServiceNow platform quality processes.
• Demonstrates accountability for assigned work and proactively escalates risks or blockers that may impact quality or delivery timeline.

What you bring

• Strong understanding of manual testing practices, test design, defect lifecycle, regression testing, and quality management processes.
• Experience creating and executing test cases based on requirements, acceptance criteria, user stories, and business processes.
• Hands-on experience testing ServiceNow or similar enterprise workflow platforms.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ATF, including creating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and executing ATF tests.
• JavaScript scripting ability, preferably within the ServiceNow platform.
• Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot ServiceNow configurations and scripts, including business rules, client scripts, UI policies, ACLs, flows, notifications, and related platform behavior.
• Strong issue triage skills with the ability to isolate root cause and distinguish between defects, requirements gaps, data issues, configuration issues, integration issues, and expected behavior.
• Ability to document defects with enough detail for development teams to investigate efficiently.
• Understanding of sprint-based testing.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ownership mindset.
• Ability to prioritize assigned work, manage competing deadlines, and escalate appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• ServiceNow platform testing experience.
• ServiceNow ATF automation experience.
• JavaScript or ServiceNow scripting experience.
• Experience testing workflows, approvals, notifications, role-based access, integrations, portals, forms, workspaces, and data-driven logic.
• Experience supporting upgrades, releases, regression testing, integration testing, and UAT.
• Experience with test management tools such as ServiceNow Test Management, Jira/Xray, or similar.
• Experience reviewing logs, record history, audit history, system behavior, and configuration to support defect triage.
