As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will shape quality across a critical payments platform that enables individuals and businesses to move money across bank accounts in the United States. You will combine engineering expertise with leadership to drive smarter testing, faster delivery and stronger outcomes for our clients.
You will join a collaborative, high-energy team working at the heart of fintech innovation. Here, you will lead quality strategy, influence engineering practices and create solutions that directly impact how payments perform every day.
In this role, you’ll own the quality and test automation strategy for a high-impact payments platform. You will build scalable frameworks, lead a team of skilled engineers and drive continuous improvement, ensuring every release meets the highest standards while helping shape the future of commerce technology.
What you’ll own
- Lead and evolve test automation strategy, increasing coverage, speed and confidence across critical payment systems
- Design and build scalable automation frameworks that improve quality, reduce defects and accelerate delivery cycles
- Drive end to end testing across functional, API, performance and integration layers, ensuring reliable and seamless system behavior
- Integrate automated testing into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, enabling faster, more consistent releases
- Strengthen team capability by mentoring engineers and creating best practices that elevate testing standards across the organization
- Identify and resolve quality risks early, improving system stability and enhancing the customer experience
- Optimize testing processes and tools, driving efficiency and enabling teams to deliver high-quality software at scale
- Influence cross-functional outcomes by partnering with engineering, product and delivery teams to embed quality into every stage of development
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in test automation or software development in test, with a strong engineering mindset
- Strong coding skills in languages such as C#, Java or JavaScript, with experience building automation solutions from the ground up
- Deep experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, BDD Cucumber and API testing tools like Postman
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and with integrating testing into CI and CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience working in fast-paced delivery environments
- Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence and TestRail, with the ability to manage testing workflows effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and drive quality improvements
- Experience leading or mentoring QA teams, with a collaborative approach and strong communication skills
