
Agile Delivery Lead (Atlassian Platform Administrator / RTE)
Position Purpose
As an Agile Delivery Lead (RTE / Atlassian Platform Administrator), you will enable effective software delivery across multiple Agile teams supporting the Genius POS platform. This role will initially focus on Atlassian platform administration, with primary emphasis on Jira configuration, governance, optimization, workflow automation, and support for delivery standardization. Over time, based on organizational need and the individual’s strengths, the role may evolve toward a broader Agile Delivery Lead / Release Train Engineer position or continue as a dedicated Atlassian Platform Administrator supporting Genius POS delivery operations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Jira and Atlassian administration experience, along with practical exposure to Agile software delivery. Depending on organizational needs, the role may support Agile teams through facilitation, planning, risk coordination, and delivery improvement activities, with the potential to grow into broader Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or Release Train Engineer responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
Administer and optimize the Atlassian platform, primarily Jira, with support for Confluence, Jira Product Discovery, and approved Marketplace apps.
Design, configure, and maintain Jira workflows, issue types, fields, screens, schemes, permissions, automations, dashboards, filters, and reports to support scalable Agile delivery.
Partner with delivery, engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders to standardize Jira usage while balancing team-level flexibility and enterprise governance needs.
Serve as an escalation point for complex Atlassian platform issues, user support, access questions, configuration defects, and reporting/data integrity concerns.
Create and maintain Atlassian platform documentation, standards, training materials, and adoption guidance for administrators, power users, and delivery teams.
Support coordination across Agile teams, product pods, and delivery stakeholders as needed.
Identify, communicate, and help resolve delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments.
Drive transparency through delivery metrics, health reporting, and executive-ready status communication.
Support planning activities and help align team execution with evolving business priorities.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Delivery stakeholders to improve execution effectiveness and organizational alignment.
Apply working knowledge of Agile, Lean, Scrum, or Kanban practices to support team delivery and Jira workflow design.
Support continuous improvement through retrospectives, metrics review, and delivery process refinement.
Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to improve backlog readiness, delivery predictability, and customer outcomes.
Skills
Hands-on expertise administering Jira and the broader Atlassian ecosystem, including workflows, schemes, permissions, automation, dashboards, reporting, and Marketplace app governance.
Ability to translate business and delivery needs into scalable Jira configurations that improve transparency, predictability, governance, and team execution.
Strong understanding of Jira data integrity, access controls, user/group management, project permissions, and reporting consistency across teams and portfolios.
Working knowledge of Agile delivery principles, including Scrum, Kanban, or similar team-based delivery practices.
Ability to facilitate productive discussions across technical, business, and leadership stakeholders.
Ability to build credibility with delivery teams and help teams improve ways of working over time.
Ability to adapt support and facilitation approaches based on team maturity and business needs.
Ability to identify, manage, and communicate risks, dependencies, and impediments.
Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to use Jira data, delivery metrics, and reporting outputs to identify opportunities to improve transparency, predictability, and execution effectiveness.

Education/Certification
Atlassian certifications, including Jira Administration or related Atlassian credentials, are strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
Relevant Agile, Lean, Product Delivery, Project Management, or Technology certifications may be considered in lieu of portions of formal education requirements.
Experience Required
Required hands-on experience administering Jira and the Atlassian ecosystem, including Jira configuration, workflows, schemes, permissions, automations, dashboards, reporting, Confluence, Jira Product Discovery, and Marketplace apps.
Experience supporting Jira governance, standardization, cleanup, migration, or consolidation efforts across multiple teams or business areas.
Experience supporting Agile software delivery teams, with exposure to Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar delivery practices.
Experience supporting Agile delivery teams in software development organizations.
Experience identifying, communicating, and helping resolve delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments.
Experience working with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to improve delivery outcomes.
Experience applying Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar delivery frameworks in a practical business environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Release Train Engineer, Agile Coach, Product Owner, or similar delivery leadership role.
Experience directly facilitating Agile ceremonies, including planning, refinement, retrospectives, daily coordination, or similar team-level delivery routines.
Experience creating and communicating delivery metrics, status reporting, and executive-level updates.
Experience supporting delivery across multiple Agile teams or product areas.
Experience facilitating cross-team planning, dependency management, or portfolio-level coordination activities.
Experience coaching teams with varying levels of Agile maturity.
Experience operating within large-scale enterprise software delivery environments.
Experience supporting organizations that utilize Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models.
Experience working in payment processing, point-of-sale (POS), restaurant technology, retail technology, or other transaction-intensive environments.
Experience supporting organizations undergoing Agile transformation or process standardization initiatives.
Experience presenting delivery insights, risks, and recommendations to Director, VP, or Executive-level stakeholders.
