Job Description

Are you ready to write your next chapter?

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Technical Lead to join our ever evolving Operations team and help us unleash the potential of every business.

What you’ll own as the Tech Lead:

  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex queries, taking ownership through investigation, resolution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support incident management activities and ensure effective communication during major incidents.
  • Complete daily data uploads and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Prepare, review, and validate journal entries in accordance with financial control requirements.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on reconciliation discrepancies and provide accurate management information and reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve aged outstanding items, partnering with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and quality assurance checks in line with SOX compliance standards.
  • Manage month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and ARCS submissions.
  • Produce monthly aged break reviews, reports, and operational performance updates.
  • Take ownership of audit-related activities, ensuring actions are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and small-scale projects to enhance efficiency, controls, and service delivery.
  • Maintain training and accreditation records, ensuring team compliance and capability development.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to team members, supporting ongoing development and process excellence.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of WPAP and Worldpay products.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying issues and anomalies.
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Gained some experience of implementing process improvement initiatives.
