Accountant II

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for an Accountant II to join our Settlement Cash Accounting team and help shape the future of global commerce.

What you’ll own

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries during the month and at month end, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Complete cash and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Analyse financial statements and provide clear, meaningful explanations for key variances.
• Respond to internal stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with audit requests, providing supporting documentation and explanations for journal postings and account activity.
• Partner with Senior Accountants, your manager and the wider team to support day-to-day accounting operations and reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, recommend solutions, and help implement changes that drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.

What you’ll bring

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing processes and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience completing balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work right the first time.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing business needs.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Experience working with Oracle or other large ERP systems.
• Previous experience performing month end processes within a financial accounting team
• Experience supporting internal or external audits.
• Progress towards, or completion of, a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Experience with Arcs
• Experience with balance sheet accounts in multiple currencies
• Experience with Radar
